A few years ago I got a job in which I was introducing my country to English-speaking visitors by driving them around in a minibus. It turned out to be a fantastic job, which I would not mind doing for free. It was great fun; it felt like travelling with friends. I loved the opportunity to pass on all my knowledge about the country and people, mostly trough informal conversations. My guests simply loved the freedom and flexibility of such casual and yet very informative touring. They were not just members of the crowd but rather sovereign travellers. These tours turned out to be much more successful than the regular coach tours.

Years of considerable travelling around the globe, working in travel journalism and guiding European tours of different types encouraged me to start organizing similar tours by minibuses to Alpine, Mediterranean and Central Europe, the part of the world I love very much and know very well.
